Reiki Training

How can I become a Reiki practitioner and/or teacher?

The process of attunement or initiation is what distinguishes Reiki from other forms of touch healing. While everything that has life has Ki, a Reiki attunement connects the receiver in an increased way to the universal healing energy that is all around us. The attunement is not a healing session, it creates the healer - the receiver of Reiki is given a gift that forever changes their life in every positive way.

All the training in Reiki is centered on five concepts that were first presented by Mikao Usui.

• Express gratitude for your many blessings
• Apply yourself diligently
• Manifest compassion to every living thing

A Reiki class is only the beginning of learning Reiki. All classes include handout materials, a certificate signifying that the student has been attuned and taught the appropriate techniques and ethics of each level, as well as support for any additional questions that may come up in the future. Reiki Level I Training

• First Degree (Shoden) - learn to treat yourself and others through opening to Reiki and learning to practice the techniques.

Upon receiving the first attunement in Reiki and through the rest of your life, all you need to do to connect with healing Ki is to place your hands upon yourself or someone else and it will flow through you automatically. The attunement also increases your life force energy. You will experience an energy that first heals you, and then also heals others without depleting you. In Reiki I, the attunement itself heals physical level diseases. Your physical health will often change for the better in the months following the attunement. Reiki I healing sessions are primarily for self healing and for healing someone else who is physically present. The fee for the training is $200.

• attunement
• training on treating yourself and others
• hand positions for administering Reiki on the self and others
• giving and receiving Reiki treatments
• plenty of hands-on practice and one-on-one instruction
• manual outlining the course for future review
• Reiki 1st Degree Certificate of Completion

Reiki Level II Training

• Second Degree (Okuden) - learn the sacred symbols used in Reiki for enhancing the Reiki power and extending the use of Reiki.

The Reiki II attunement significantly increases the amount of healing energy, and the training focuses upon emotional, mental, and karmic healing. Healing with Reiki II adds considerable power to direct sessions and enables the healer to better address early emotional traumas, unhealed former situations, and negative belief systems/mental patterns when they come up in self-healing or with clients. Reiki II training also includes the methods and tools for doing healing with someone who is not physically present, or distance healing. The fee for the training is $300.

Reiki II Includes:

• the first three Reiki symbols
• basic understanding of healing with the symbols and additional uses of the Reiki II symbols
• techniques for distance healing
• deepening meditation techniques
• plenty of hands-on practice
• giving and receiving Reiki treatments
• one-on-one instruction and practice of all the techniques covered in Reiki I and II
• a manual detailing the healing techniques covered in the course for future review
• Reiki 2nd Degree Certificate of Completion

Reiki III Master-Teacher Training

• Third Degree (Shinpiden) - At this level, students become connected and resonate with the consciousness in an increased way; Reiki becomes a way of life.
• Master/Teacher (Shihan) - learn to teach Reiki to others.

This degree is recommended for the serious healer. After the hard work that follows the Reiki II attunement, Reiki III is a joyous gift. The third level symbols are taught as well as meditative techniques. It is at this level that students decide the role that Reiki will play in their lives. Some will receive the third level as an advanced degree in healing technique -- some will choose to teach others and devote most or all of their time and energy to a life of teaching Reiki and healing others.

Upon completion of the Reiki III Master-Teacher training, you will have all the requirements necessary to teach all levels of Reiki as an Independent Reiki Master-Teacher. Detailed documentation is provided, and ongoing support is offered to guide and encourage the new Reiki teacher. The fee for the training is $500.

Reiki III includes:

• complete Reiki III Usui Master-Teacher attunement
• three more Reiki symbols including the Master symbol
• discussion of values and ethics of a true Reiki Master-Teacher
• understanding and usage of symbols and mantras
• an advanced Reiki meditation that harmonizes chakra energies
• theory and practice of attunement (Reiju)
• Healing Attunement Techniques which strengthen the effectiveness of Reiki sessions
• instruction on giving all attunements, including Reiki Master-Teacher
• plenty of hands-on practice
• extensive manuals for teaching each of the three degrees of Reiki
• Reiki Master-Teacher Degree Certificate of Completion
